  3. To Maria and Andy’s family-I am so very sorry. While I never got to personally know your husband, father, or grandfather-the tributes to him for the manner in which he lived his life are amazing and truly become a standard for all to duplicate.

  6. My dear friend, Andy, is on his way to stay with the LORD. I have never met such a good man. He helped others: worked in the Spanish group, religious education, english as a second language classes, the work he did with prisoners. He did do much . We shared much, sometimes about what he did as a Ranger, sometimes just stuff about each other, the grands. We prayed together, ate together and I treasure all those times .His tales gave me a renewed faith in our Special Forces and also reminded me that his wife also served and Maria, we thank you for that. You are such a loving family and I am happy you consider me one of your family. Maybe one day I will beat Maria at Scrabble! I hope I can have one tenth of one percent of his love for our LORD. I love you all.

  7. Andy positively touched all those who had the honor to call him friend. His love for Maria was boundless and her love for him will live on in the wonderful memories that they shared. You have to love someone who had a ping pong table in the living room. You fought so hard and so long and you are now out of pain and at peace. We will keep Maria and your family in our prayers and in our hearts.

  8. My brother in arms and friend; may the Lord receive your soul with open arms. You were an inspiration to me and many. your courage and strong faith and trust in the Lord helped me to be a better Catholic.

  12. Your dad was a Great man , father, husband, and friend to many. He touched the lives of those he came in contact with, and always had time to sit and talk about life. I was proud to call him my friend and “Papa Iturbe”. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and those who lives he touched in so many ways. May God watch over you and your entire family during this difficult time..

  14. In the course of this life we meet many people. To me Andy was one of the most profound examples of Faith, Hope and Love that I shall ever know. His positive influence on me will remain for the rest of my life. May God bless your entire Family.

  15. My good friend and soldier in arms from the moment we met in Army ROTC at the University of Miami. We had great times learning about soldiering and becoming an officer. Our wives were friends from Notre Dame Academy in Miami. We discovered by surprise, that we all got married on the same day, and found each other getting on the same plane for our honeymoon trip. We were both assigned at Ft. Hood, you with the 2nd A.D., I with the 1st Cav. We were neighbors at Ft. Benning for the Officer’s Advance Course. As time past we reunited in Georgia to continue our friendship for life. It has been a good journey for us all, with the good and the bad that happens. Angie and I will miss you.

  16. There are men, then there are Men!
    Andy is the latter!
A man who was all about God, family and country!
A simple man in the grandest way!
We will always love you and remember you!

  17. Although I did not know Andy well, I knew very well the things that he and Maria did in the name of their faith right here at St Paul. I pray for that strong faith, Thanks be to God for allowing our paths to cross briefly.
